This notice covers the personal data processed when you visit akkatoglu.com and when you use the contact form on this website. Cookies are explained in detail in our Cookie Policy.
3. Personal Data We Process

4. Purposes of Processing
- Receiving and responding to your enquiries, requests and complaints;
- Conducting pre-contractual discussions, preparing quotations and establishing a commercial relationship;
- Ensuring the secure and proper operation of the website, detecting errors and preventing abuse;
- Fulfilling our legal obligations, including obligations under Law No. 5651 and requests from competent authorities;
- Proving that your consent was obtained and recording your cookie preferences;
- Only with your explicit consent: measuring the effectiveness of our online advertising (Google Ads) and displaying the embedded map (Google Maps).
5. Legal Grounds
Your personal data is processed on the following legal grounds set out in Article 5 of the KVKK:
- Art. 5/2-c: processing is necessary for the conclusion or performance of a contract (commercial enquiries and quotations);
- Art. 5/2-ç: processing is necessary for us to comply with a legal obligation;
- Art. 5/2-e: processing is necessary for the establishment, exercise or protection of a right;
- Art. 5/2-f: processing is necessary for our legitimate interests, provided that it does not harm your fundamental rights and freedoms (website security, strictly necessary cookies, responding to messages);
- Art. 5/1: your explicit consent (advertising cookies and the embedded map).
6. Recipients of Personal Data
Your personal data may be transferred, limited to the purposes above and in accordance with Articles 8 and 9 of the KVKK, to:
- our hosting and e-mail infrastructure providers located in Türkiye, who act as data processors on our behalf;
- legally authorised public institutions and organisations, upon their lawful request;
- only if you consent to advertising cookies or the map: Google LLC / Google Ireland Limited, which are located abroad. In that case your data is transferred abroad on the basis of your explicit consent pursuant to Article 9 of the KVKK. You may withdraw this consent at any time via the “Cookie Preferences” link in the footer.
7. Method of Collection
Your personal data is collected electronically, by automatic or partly automatic means, through the forms you fill in on this website, cookies and web server access logs.
8. Retention
- Contact form messages: for up to 2 years after your request has been resolved; if a commercial relationship is established, for the periods required by commercial and tax legislation.
- Web server access logs: for the period required by applicable legislation.
- Cookie consent records: for the validity period of your consent and for 3 years thereafter, in order to be able to prove consent.
At the end of these periods your personal data is deleted, destroyed or anonymised.
9. Your Rights
Under Article 11 of the KVKK you have the right to:
- learn whether your personal data is processed;
- request information if it has been processed;
- learn the purpose of processing and whether it is used in accordance with that purpose;
- know the third parties to whom your personal data is transferred, in Türkiye or abroad;
- request rectification of incomplete or inaccurate data and request that this be notified to the third parties to whom the data has been transferred;
- request erasure or destruction of your personal data where the reasons for processing no longer exist, and request that this be notified to the third parties to whom the data has been transferred;
- object to a result that is to your detriment arising from the analysis of your data exclusively by automated systems;
- claim compensation for damage suffered due to unlawful processing of your personal data.
